Predatory companies mad that people are being responsible. Maybe credit card companies shouldn't exist because they only serve to cause misery.

It's weird to read something like that - the only credit cards we have are ones actually attached to bank accounts, so I forget about fees and crap.
And for what it's worth, if you do a lot of business with Paypal, getting a debit card hooked to your account is the shit.

My son makes me laugh. Maybe he'll make you laugh, too.

Strange Cracked points at a 2010 ruling about guessing your speed. How else were they supposed to figure out your speed before? 'pacing' is just guessing by other means.
However, what's worse is that they don't have to prove it. If they say so, the court is by law required to accept their testimony. The court isn't required to take yours. So worse, they could lie about it and unless you have some impeachable evidence - like video from a traffic cam - there's hardly anything you can do about it. (Also, there's usually also no legal method to deal with it if you find out the office is lying when you arrive at court.)
What's really bad about all of these isn't the assumption the police are telling the truth - it's that they skip around real due process.

Oliver Stone bawws about Jews.
Stone, who is half-Jewish, told the Times: “There's a major lobby in the United States. They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has f---ed up United States foreign policy for years.”
Arizona makes criminals fear the law. Just as planned."Beyond the ignorance he proves with his comments, his demonization of the Jewish people could be a sequel to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion," Edelstein told the Jerusalem Post. "When a man of Stone's stature says such things, it could lead to a new wave of anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism, and it may even cause real harm to Jewish communities and individuals."
The American Jewish Committee blasted the director, too.
"By invoking this grotesque, toxic stereotype, Oliver Stone has outed himself as an anti-Semite," said AJC executive director David Harris said in a statement. "For all of Stone's progressive pretensions, his remark is no different from one of the drunken, Jew-hating rants of his fellow Hollywood celebrity, Mel Gibson."
"We are deeply offended," Elan Steinberg, vice president of the American Gathering of Holocaust Survivor, said in another statement. "These are words of hate and a disgraceful evocation of anti-Semitism. Shame on Oliver Stone."
"Everyone is selling up the little they have and leaving," said Villasenor, 31, who is headed for Pennsylvania. "We have no alternative. They have us cornered."
The two women are among scores of illegal immigrant families across Phoenix hauling the contents of their homes into the yard this weekend as they rush to sell up and get out before the state law takes effect on Thursday.

How exactly is calling people hard workers with a powerful lobby who stay on top of the news "demonizing?"
And as this is still the United States, it is entirely possible to be Jewish without necessarily being pro-Israel. Unlike in some less democratic mideast theocracies my tax dollars support

"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

It's not. Jews constantly whine and claim anti-Semitism, though. How exactly is calling people hard workers with a powerful lobby who stay on top of the news "demonizing?"

To be fair I've never heard a Jewish person talk like this. The Neocon lobbyists who represent Israel's military are the ones to claim discrimination.Psychic Robot wrote:It's not. If I had any sort of oppressed minority in my ancestry, you can bet I'd be milking it for whatever it was worth. I don't "like" it, but I'd do the exact same thing if I thought I could wheedle any sort of advantage out of it.
In this moment, I am Ur-phoric. Not because of any phony god’s blessing. But because, I am enlightened by my int score.

Really fucking annoying, ain't it? Just keep that in mind the next time you heard the word "racist" thrown around. The Neocon lobbyists who represent Israel's military are the ones to claim discrimination.

Do women count as an oppressed minority? You could claim that, because roughly half your ancestors were women, you're part woman, and can claim discrimination.Count Arioch the 28th wrote:If I had any sort of oppressed minority in my ancestry, you can bet I'd be milking it for whatever it was worth. Super! And then they can get down to the business of harassing the Mexican tourists and workers that are legally visiting the state and the Mexican-Americans that permanently reside there.Psychic Robot wrote:Arizona makes criminals fear the law. Better walk around with your birth certificates, brownskins! Well, assuming that the Republicans accept it as being legitimate, that is.

In response to accusations of controlling the media, Jews try to cancel Oliver Stone's upcoming series. Irony overload.

Oh, sure, tar jewish people with the guy who says, “His love of [Venezuelan president Hugo] Chavez has always bothered me."
There is nothing anti-Semitic about saying, 'Israel has fucked up American foreign policy.' That part was added onto the ADL's refutation of Stones remarks by Haim.
Tho it is very ironic.

A federal judge blocked a lot of the most controversial aspects of Arizona's immigration laws yesterday, which go into effect today. I think two of the blocked portions involve having officers check the immigration status of anyone they're suspicious of if stopped for other reasons and requiring immigrants to carry papers at all times.
